Desert Yearnings

Desert Yearnings

A poem by Sydney Stone. I do not own the image.

***

Who floats-

But the creosote?

Rising up unto the clouds,

From which they mote.

Then, falling once more,

Upon an Earth yearning-

For a much-needed soak.

Uttered warnings heeded only by those who care to lend an ear. Well written.

Creosote scented rain is heavenly. ✨
