Chill Wind’s Warning

Chill Wind’s Warning

A poem by Sydney Stone. I do not own the image.

***

Have you heard the cold winds blow?

From distant lands, dusted with snow.

Have you felt their deep-chilled kiss?

Filled with memories of forgotten bliss.

Where stood you when you heard the cry?

Sent by the the lone wolf on mountain high.

Did you catch the subtle note?

Sent upon the wind to float.

Do not shutter, do not latch,

The words are there for you to snatch,

Warning you of coming woe,

Warning all where’ver they go.

Thank you! 😊 I had to take a couple day hiatus to restock the poetry backlog, I was running a tad low. 😔

I completely understand. I’ve been there plenty of times, myself. 🫂
