A poem by Sydney Stone. I do not own the image.
***
Time and time and time again,
Must I ever cross this fen,
Between the worlds- of right and wrong,
Beckoning me with- their haunting songs,
To feel good within, or good without,
Luring me with- the gifts they tout,
Which path to choose? which road to take?
Always hiding- what is at stake,
Perhaps one day, I’ll know the way,
If only I knew- the price that I’d pay.
