Sorrow’s Malice

Sorrow’s Malice

A poem by Sydney Stone. I do not own the image.

Words caught behind,

A shot of Gin,

Emotions masked,

By verve and vim,

Sorrow meant,

Yet anger spoken,

Feelings long-buried,

Alcohol awoken,

Reaching for another’s understanding,

But grasping only,

The bottle,

The cycle unending.
